STOCKTON - Police are searching for a scarf-wearing man who was photographed by surveillance cameras Friday afternoon robbing a downtown bank.
Stockton police reported the man walked into Washington Mutual Bank, at 400 E. Main St., around 3:30 p.m. and waited patiently in line for a bank teller.
When his turn came, he handed the teller a demand note and an empty bag. The teller complied with his demand, loading an undisclosed amount of cash into the bag, and the man walked out.
He was described as a roughly 35-year-old Latino man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and with a medium build. He was wearing a gray suit, a black shirt and scarf.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377.
